The Ram 1500 is Prepared to Take 2023 By Storm

October 11,2022

For 2023, the Ram 1500 pickup has gone the extra mile as it strives to reach the top of the pickup game. It comes with four different engines, two different cab options, three different bed sizes (as well as two different tailgate types, one of which can be opened either traditionally or divided barn-door style) and when it’s all said and done, eight different models – the ready-to work Tradesman and Tradesman HFE, the Big horn all-rounder, the Laramie, the rough ‘n tumble Laramie, the luxurious Limited and Limited Longhorn and altogether mega TRX.
To see just how the 1500 is winning over both the hearts and minds of buyers everywhere, look no further than the engine choices: there’s a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 with eTorque mild hybrid tech that’s good for 305 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque; a 3.0-litre turbodiesel six with 260 hp and 480 lb-ft, enough to tow over 12,700 pounds; a 5.7-litre HEMI V8 also with eTorque that makes 395 hp and 410 lb.-ft.; and finally, the grand power poobah of them all, the 6.2-litre supercharged V8 good for a scalding 702 that’s-not-a-typo hp and 650 lb-ft. That last engine is limited to just the TRX model, but the other three can be had across an array of models.
Then there’s the styling; modern headlamps with HID designation in some cases, large grilles finished in bright chrome or a number of other styles, wheel choices ranging all the way up to 22” and a brace of bright colours to choose from.
Inside, on models such as the top-flight Limited Longhorn we find top-drawer leather seating, while infotainment duties are handled by a centralized display that measures up to 12”, allowing for smooth operation of all your on-board multimedia needs such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s even a digital gauge display option that’s host to all sorts of information, from your navigation instructions to the angle at which you’re climbing over rough terrain.
These are just a few factors that combine to bring the 1500 to the top of the ½-ton pickup game. But what a start!
