Once again, Dodge did very well in the latest 2022 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, finishing second overall in the automotive industry and well ahead of competitors Ford, GMC, and Chevrolet.
In order to determine which vehicles offer the highest level of initial quality, J.D. Power surveys consumers who have purchased their vehicle in the last 90 days. Over 80,000 consumers were surveyed for the 2022 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study. With just 143 problems per 100 vehicles, Dodge was well ahead of the average of 180 problems per 100 vehicles for the industry overall,
Moreover, the Jeep Gladiator finished second overall in the midsize truck segment for initial quality.
The goal of the study is to determine which vehicles are the most reliable and dependable over the first three months of ownership. In doing so, consumers can make more informed decisions about their next vehicle, and they also get a better idea of the long-term reliability of different brands and vehicles. Indeed, the J.D. Power IQS study is telling of a vehicle’s expected long-term reliability.
